JE Alumni Serving In Military

In the May, 2007 issue of the Eagle Eye, we had asked the community to help us locate our alumni that are currently serving in the military. Below is a list of information we have received over the last year.

If you know of someone whose information we did not receive or needs updating, please feel free to send it to rsmart@jecsd.org and write “military” in the subject line.  New information will be posted below.

Note: We need family members to send us updates.  All of our information is based on family sending us updates.

Aaron R. Bouchard - JE Class of 2002. U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. Aaron shipped out to boot camp in Cape May, New Jersey, on October 2, 2007. He will graduate on November 23, 2007 and will be stationed at Alexandria Bay, New York, (Wellesley Island Coast Guard Station). Aaron is the son of Robert and Sherry Bouchard of Memphis.

Update: Aaron graduated from U.S. Coast Guard Boatswain's Mate A-School in Yorktown, Virginia, on March 21, 2008, and was promoted on September 22, 2008, at Coast Guard Station Alexandria Bay, to Petty Officer 3rd Class

Britton H. Bouchard - JE Class of 2005. Lance Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps. He is a Flight Safety Equipment Technician currently stationed at Naval Air Station Willow Grove, PA . He has been in the Marine Corps for 1 1/2 years. He is the son of Robert and Sherry Bouchard of Memphis.

Update: Britton was promoted to the rank of Corporal in April, 2008. He will be deploying to Okinawa, Japan on December 30, 2008. Okinawa will be his permanent duty post until 2010. He has now been in the Marine Corps for over 2 1/2 years.

Josh Buckley - JE Class of 1998. He is a Corporal, U.S. Marine Corp. Graduated from Arizona State in Dec. 2003. Enlisted in the Marines in February 2004. He served in Iraq for six months in 2006 and has been in Afganistan since July 1, 2007. He will be back in the states in January 2008 and home (out of service) in February 2008. Josh is the son of Evelyn and Bill Cooper of Elbridge.

Jon Burton - JE Class of 2002, Graduated West Point Military Academy 2003. Jon is the son of Mick and Linda Burton of Elbridge.

Matthew Burkinshaw - JE Class of 1996 and graduate of Syracuse University. Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He earned his Master’s Degree this past summer in aerospace engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Shelby Brayton - JE Class of 2007 - U.S. Marines.

Kyle Clifton - JE Class of 2007. Army Reserve Pvt. Graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Kyle is the son of James and Veronica Clifton of Jordan.

Pat Daniluk - JE Class of 2005. Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. Pat is stationed at MBCH Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He is a Signal Intelligence Communicator. Pat is the son of Paul and Susan Daniluk of Memphis.

Shaylem Dillman was in the Navy from 2001-2005 and is going to school for criminal justice at Brockport

Christopher J. Doerr - JE Class of 1999, Graduated West Point Military Academy 2002, Captain in the U.S. Army stationed in Savannah, Georgia. Currently he is on his fourth deployment to Iraq. He is the son of Hank and Patricia Doerr of Elbridge.

Nicholas A. Doerr - JE Class of 2002, Graduated West Point Military Academy 2005. First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army stationed at Baumholder, Germany. He is scheduled for his second deployment to Iraq in March of 2008. He is the son of Hank and Patricia Doerr of Elbridge.

Corie Di Lella - JE Class of 1985. She served four years in the U.S. Army in the Military Intelligence Division. Since being discharged, she has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from DeVry University in Ohio. Corie is the daughter of Frank and Sandi Di Lella of Elbridge.

Christy Ecker - JE Class of 2000. Kristie graduated from West Point in 2004 and spent 15 months in Afghanistan (March 2006-June 2007). At present, she is in command school at Fort Lee, Virginia. Kristie is the daughter of Bill and Terry Ecker of Jordan.

Dustin D. Ganey - JE Class of 2005. PFC, U.SArmy. Dustin was stationed in Germany for 2 yrs.  He is currrently on a tour of duty in Iraq. Dustin is the son of Lisa and Mike Stanton of Memphis.

Brian A. Kinney - JE Class of 2007. He is currently a recruit of the Lima Co., 3rd Bn, Plt. 3109, of the U.S. Marine Corps at Parris Island, S.C. Brian is due to graduate in early December 2007. After a brief leave with his family in December, he will attend further schooling before his first tour of duty as an audiovisual specialist. Brian is the son of Edward and Rebecca Kinney of Jordan.

Joshua Kompf - JE Class of 2004. Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army. Completed two years of training this past summer and will be serving with 3rd Group Special Forces U.S. Army. Josh is the son of Joseph and Shirley Kompf of Jordan.

Russell Mettendorf, SPC - Serving in the military since August 2, 2005 going through 25s Satellite Communication Maintainer/Operator school and then 1C addition skill identifier training Satellite Transmission Coordinator in Fort Gordon, GA. Served from Nov 2006 to Nov 2008 at Okinawa, Japan. His next duty station is Fort Riley, KA where he'll be deployed to the middle east in support of OEF or OIF.

SGT Cale Nappi - JE class of 2003.  Cale is a sergeant in the army.  He is a military policeman and is currently training for his second combat tour in Iraq.  Cale is the son of Nicholas Nappi and Susan Ramsey of Memphis.

Stephen Paul -JE Class of 2006. Serving in the U.S. Update 12/29/08: Specialist is United States Army. He is a Combat Medic. Currently deployed to Iraq, due to return in Sept 2009. Currently stationed in Fort Carson, CO. He is son of Peter and Anne Paul. 

Kathleen Richberg - JE Class of 1999. Lieutenant United States Navy. Kathleen attended Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL in 2004 after finishing her B.S. in Chemistry and Forensic Science at the University of New Haven.  She was stationed at Fort Gordon, GA from 2004-2007 and spent four months in Iraq in 2006.  Currently she is stationed at Yokosuka Navy Base in Japan.  She is the daughter of Paul and Priscilla Richberg of Baldwinsville, NY.

Kristin Raeon - Current JE student. Army Reserve Pvt. She graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Kristin is the daughter of Becky Martin and Randy Raeon of Elbridge.

Jacob Schutt - JE Class of 2006. Jake joined the U.S. Marines two days after his 18th birthday and went to Parris Island, SC for recruit training (boot camp) in October 2006. He graduated January 2007. He is currently stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and was recently promoted to Lance Corporal. Jacob is the son of Dan and Ginny Schutt of Jordan.

Brian Sessler - JE Class of 1995. Graduate of Syracuse University and the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). Captain in the New York Air National Guard. He served on active duty for over eight years. Currently serving as a Space Operations Officer attached to the 174th Fighter Wing, Syracuse, NY, and as a full-time Air Force civilian at the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome, NY. Brian is the son of Sharon Sessler and the late Gary Sessler of Memphis.

Chad Sessler - JE Class of 1990 and graduate of Columbia College. Captain in the U.S. Air Force. Currently serving as an Intelligence Officer at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Chad is the son of Sharon Sessler and the late Gary Sessler of Memphis.

Clint Side - JE Class of 2001. MP in the National Guard. He is on his third tour in Iraq. His tour ends in August 2008. Clint is the son of Clifford, Sr. and Diana Side of Jordan.

Clifford (Kip) Side, Jr. - JE Class of 1999. Army 101st airborn Ft Campbell KY  - 2002-2005,  14 months in Iraq 2003. Kip is the son of Clifford, Sr. and Diana Side of Jordan.

Azrel Tanner - JE Class of 2000. Graduated from Oswego University and is now serving with the U.S. Navy. Azrel is stationed in San Diego, California. He is training in helicopter wiring. Azrel is the son of Trudy and Paul Tanner of Skaneateles.

Sean VanHoltz - JE Class or 1984. Graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a Major in the US Air Force, presently stationed at Peterson AFB, CO, working on the Joint Staff at HQ NORAD and USNORTHCOM.  I expect to return to a flying assignment in August 2009.  He is currently in his 18th year in the USAFR.

John Williams - JE Class of 2005. In military since April 2006. Sent to Iraq in November 2006. He is the son of Bernice and James Williams of Elbridge. update 3-25-10... John was just deployed from Fort Drum to Afganistan for a year long tour. He is in the army.

Michael Woodcock - JE Class of 2002. He is PFC in the U.S. Army. He is the son of David and Monica Woodcock of Elbridge.
